This is one of the common questions out on the internet right today pertaining to air duct cleaning. Because of the low price, it only stands to reason that homeowners need to proceed with caution. After all, how can trained professionals arrive at your house, anywhere in the Twin Cities, in a well equipped tuck, work for 45 minutes to a couple hours and leave with only $99, right?
I know it sounds too good to be true but, let me explain. First, I assume you have already read about duct cleaning on this blog. If not, here are a few posts you might want to read first:

Whenever I am talking with customers that call in with questions about duct cleaning or to schedule a cleaning service I always ask them how long it’s been since they had their duct work cleaned. If they say last year, I don’t even bother asking them anymore questions. If they called in wanting the $99 deal that’s what I would recommend anyway.
If, on the other hand, they answer that it has been several years or perhaps never, I advise them to go with the rotobrush method. Here’s why; I am sure you have all seen the caked on grime that accumulates behind the refrigerator or stove, right. That “crud” is very similar to what adheres to the inside walls of your air ductwork. Imagine pulling the kitchen stove out and trying to simply vacuum it up. We all know that brushing or scrubbing is necessary.
The same holds true with duct cleaning. If it was just cleaned with a rotobrush last year, the $99 duct cleaning will most likely be adequate. But, if it has been a few years, I would strongly recommend the rotobrush method.
If you are ready to get on the scheule for either the rotorush method or the $99 air-sweep, give us a call at 651-653-4704, we would love the opportunity to showcase our work for you.

People oftentimes ask us if duct cleaning will help their allergy problems. Our answer is always the same, ‘It can’t hurt!’. The truth of the matter is, when done correctly, it shouldn’t irritate your allergies. Will it help? Our customers and leading allergists say ‘yes’, air duct cleaning does help. So why don’t we come out and say, “Duct cleaning will help your allergies.”? Well, because an outdated, 10 year old EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) report says duct cleaning won’t help.
Duct Cleaning Techniques Have Greatly Improved
Way back in 1997 the EPA did a study that down played the importance of duct cleaning. Many feel this was due in large part to the “air duct cleaning scams” that were being reported all across the Minneapolis area as well as the entire US. While the report was very thorough, duct cleaning techniques and equipment has changed. “Duct cleaners” were running around in station wagons and mini-vans with a shopvac, calling themselves “Indoor Air Quality Professionals.
Allergists Agree, Duct Cleaning Helps
Allergy sufferers don’t need to travel very far to learn the benefits of air duct cleaning. A short visit with their local allergy clinic and they discover that duct cleaning ranks high on the list of allergy cleaning or allergy proofing a house. They will also learn the importance of things like; like mattress cleaning, freezing pillows, allergy bedding, etc), Most people who suffer from allergies know there is no cure-all which will relieve all their symptoms. They understand that air duct cleaning is just one part of the allergy cleaning process.
Is Duct Cleaning Right in Your Situation?
According to your furnace manufacturer (yes, Trane, Bryant, Amana, Carrier, Lennox… yes, everyone of them!), your furnace should be cleaned and inspected yearly. If the manufacturers all recommend annual cleaning, it stands to reason that your ductwork, which supplies un-filtered air to the furnace and heated or cooled air to your home, should be cleaned too. Most homeowners understand the benefits of duct cleaning, even if purely from a “heating and air conditioning maintenance” standpoint. For about $200 or less, a qualified Twin Cities air duct cleaning company will thoroughly clean all your air duct work and will inspect your furnace and air conditioner for no additional charge! So, if you are troubled by allergies, what do you have to lose? Schedule to have your air ducts cleaned today. Who knows, your allergy problems just might improve!

Chimney Sweep & Liner Inspection
Price $99 Special $65*
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN and surrounding. – Your furnace chimney will be bushed and cleaned in much the same manner as a fireplace chimney would be cleaned. We use steel brushes to sweep the interior walls of the chimney, removing all debris by vacuuming with a truck mounted vacuum and using the high pressure air wand. Then, as needed and depending on age and type of fuel used, we will clean the drip tee and the vent connectors which connect your furnace and water heater to the main furnace stack.
Why Hiring Two Chimney Sweeps is Better
With two chimney sweeps, one cleaning the furnace chimney with the rotating steel brush and the other in the basement operating the vacuum, the process is quick, thorough, efficient and CLEAN!!! We are very confident that, although we are working with soot, your Twin Cities home will be as clean or cleaner than when we arrived.
If you need a certified chimney sweep, please call Twin Cities Duct Cleaning to schedule at (651) 653-4704
